How to install Libreoffice in Ubuntu

1. down load libreoffice from below link:

http://www.libreoffice.org/download/

and save it to your desktop.


2. then double click on LibO_3.4.1_Linux_x86_install-deb_en-US.tar.gz and extract it to your desktop

you will see a new folder named LibO_3.4.1rc3_Linux_x86_install-deb_en-US appear on your desktop.


3. next click on App;ication/Accessories/Terminal to open the terminal window

then type :

sudo dpkg -i ~/Desktop/LibO_3.4.1rc3_Linux_x86_install-deb_en-US/DEBS/*.deb

then press enter

Finally you need to install desktop integration deb package using the following command :

sudo dpkg -i ~/Desktop/LibO_3.4.1rc3_Linux_x86_install-deb_en-US/DEBS/desktop-integration/libreoffice3.4-debian-menus_3.4-103_all.deb

completed.

now click on Application/Office you will see a list of Libreoffice menu
