Adobe AIR 1.5 now available for Linux

Adobe AIR, is a platform for running certain web applications as if they were desktop apps, no browser required. A few popular AIR apps such as Twhirl, a desktop Twitter and micro-blogging client, and ReadAIR, a desktop client for Google Reader.


Adobe AIR has been available for Windows and Mac for quite awhile. The Linux version is finally out of beta for Ubuntu, OpenSUSE, and Fedora linux distributions.


With Adobe AIR for linux, now linux users will be able to experience thousands of AIR application that runs on the Adobe AIR platform. Linux user can now enjoy the top 100 hottest music videos from AOL.
